Hitman: Absolution is a stealthy action game that puts you in control of a deadly contract killer known as Agent 47.

When it comes to action games that rely on stealth, the Hitman series is near the top of the pile. This successful franchise has received numerous awards, and Hitman: Absolution is one of Square Enix’s most popular titles. This game allows you to track down a wide variety of targets and figure out unique ways to take them out without being caught be henchman, bystanders, and nearby law enforcement officers.

The first thing that you are going to notice when you start Hitman: Absolution is the fact that this game looks incredibly good for its age. Even though it was released in 2012, the graphics and mechanics have stood the test of time. Absolution also has an incredibly beautiful soundtrack, and each score perfectly complements every mission and environment.

Agent 47 is the protagonist in Absolution, and that character follows a complex storyline that takes place immediately after Hitman: Blood Money. As you work your way through each of the contracts, you will begin to realize that Agent 47’s handlers might not be as good as they seem, and that means you will need to make some important decisions as you navigate your way through the missions.

In addition to the campaign itself, you can also create custom contracts for yourself and your friends. Those contract matches allow you to set up difficult and complex scenarios with hidden enemies, unseen traps, and other stealthy obstacles. While that addition doesn’t have any groundbreaking features, it does give the game excellent replayability. Overall, Hitman: Absolution is a great addition to the assassin genre.
